BAC Steering Committee

Statement of Purpose

The Business Advisory Council’s (BAC) Steering Committee is charged with setting the agenda and general direction for the BAC members and associates. The Steering Committee will develop work plans and projects to serve the BAC mission and focused objectives in conjunction with the Department of Services for the Blind (DSB). The Steering Committee will provide employer input and represent the employer in the strategic partnership with DSB and community to provide vehicles of opportunity for blind and low vision participants to retain or become employed as part of the communities diverse labor pool. The Steering Committee will develop strategies to create a blind and low vision friendly workplace.

Key Activities:

• Develop strategies to support the BAC Mission and Values
• Set annual work plan
• Create Membership meeting agendas and programs
• Provide input on Special Projects
• Assist in implementation of projects and initiatives
• Act as Ambassadors to the employer community on behalf of the BAC
