If you are traveling on Metro Transit bus route 7 headed to Rainier Beach:
- Request the bus stop at Alaska and Rainier.
- When you are off the bus, turn right and proceed forward (heading north) to South Alaska Street.
- Turn left and proceed forward (heading west) up the hill to 35th Avenue.
- When you are off the bus, turn right and proceed forward (heading south) to South Alaska Street.
- This is a lighted intersection with a push button and an audible pedestrian signal at this corner.
- Use the push button to activate the audible pedestrian signal.
- Cross South Alaska Street.
- Turn right to face Rainier Avenue South.
- This is a lighted intersection with a push button and an audible pedestrian signal at this corner.
- Use the push button to activate the accessible pedestrian signal.
- Cross Rainier Avenue South.
- Continue forward (heading west) to 35th Avenue South.
- Cross 35th Avenue South.

- Use the push button to activate the accessible pedestrian signal.
- Cross MLK Way, including two sets of light rail tracks. Each set will have its own accessible pedestrian signals; including crossing the northbound and southbound MLK traffic.
Continue forward (heading east) on the short block to 31st Avenue South. - Cross 31st Avenue South.

- Request the bus stop at 35th and Alaska.
- When you are off the bus, turn right and proceed forward (heading east) to 35th Avenue South.
- Turn right to face South Alaska Street.

If you are traveling on Link Light Rail, Southbound (to SEATAC):
- Exit the train at the Columbia City Station. (Doors will open to the train operator’s right).
- Turn right and proceed forward (heading north), keeping the platform edge and tracks to your right.
- At the end of the ramp down from the station, turn right (face east) and stop.
- You are now in the crosswalk for the crossing of Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Way.
- Locate and press to activate the accessible pedestrian signal on the small pole to your right. Keep your body behind the tactile warning strip (yellow section of truncated domes on the ground).
- Cross MLK Way, including 2 sets of light rail tracks.
Continue forward (heading east) on the short block to 31st Avenue South. - Cross 31st Avenue South.
Continue forward (heading east) to 32nd Avenue South. - Cross 32nd Avenue South.
- Continue forward (heading east) on the long block.
- Cross the second driveway, and then turn right onto the intersecting sidewalk with gravel on your left.

If you are traveling on Link Light Rail, Northbound (to Westlake / Downtown Seattle):

- Take I-5 N toward Seattle.
- Take exit 161 for Swift Avenue toward Albro Pl.
- Turn left at Swift Ave. S.
- Take the 1st right onto S. Graham Street.
- Turn left at Beacon Ave. S.
- Turn right at S. Columbian Way.
- Continue onto S. Alaska St.
