Student-led discussion group on the Who, What, When, Where, When, & How of social skills.
There are a lot of social traps that young people need to navigate. The adults and teachers in their lives provide instruction, but interaction with peers can be more helpful in learning how to navigate the complexities of the social norms of their schools and communities.
This adult-facilitated activity will provide blind and low vision students with a peer group that can discuss and mentor each other through the social issues that crop up in late elementary school, middle school, and early high school.
