Department of Services for the Blind

Eligibility Criteria

To Be Eligible

You must have a visual disability that alone or combined with other disabilities causes an impediment to employment, and vocational rehabilitation services must be required for you to prepare for, enter, engage in, retain or regain employment consistent with your unique strengths, resources, priorities, concerns, abilities, capabilities, interests, and informed choice. Applicants, who, because of a visual impairment, are Social Security Disability Insurance recipients or Supplemental Security Insurance beneficiaries, are presumed eligible for vocational rehabilitation.

If you feel that you meet the criteria and want to get additional information about applying for services call 1-800-552-7103 or click here for how to apply.
