Fun and play, otherwise known as exercise, is important for everyone!
This includes young people who are blind or have low vision. Blind and low vision children should be running, riding bikes, walking, jumping, and skipping. Yes, everything that sighted kids do!
How can my child participate in recreation?
At home, in an environment that is safe, in a fitness center, on the playground, in groups, and in physical education classes. Don’t exclude them. Modify the activity, and you will be building healthy confident kids and stronger families.
