Purpose: Lions Clubs Assistance (amount varies): To provide vocational assistance to the blind.
Eligibility: Applicants must be legally blind.
Financial Data: The amount of this assistance varies.
Special Features: Many local clubs of Lions Clubs International offer awards, scholarships, grants, or other assistance. Other clubs purchase special adaptive equipment for the use of blind persons in their areas. Requests sent to the international office are referred to the appropriate district governor. If any of the clubs within the district conduct programs for which the applicant might be considered, the governor will advise the particular club to contact the applicant.
Limitations: No funds are available from the office of Lions Clubs International.
