Eligibility Examples

Persons with a visual impairment and:

  • High School Students preparing to transition from school to either work or higher education
  • SSI/SSDI Beneficiaries
  • Grandparents with Progressive Age-Related Vision Loss and seeking assistance to maintain independence in home and community
  • DVR Participants with a visual impairment
  • Homemakers with Low Vision
  • Persons who want assistance keeping their job with increasing vision loss
  • Persons who are newly blind
  • New residents of Washington who qualified for services in their previous state of residence
  • Families with children who are blind or low vision
  • Anyone who is blind or low vision who is seeking employment
  • Anyone who is blind or low vision who is seeking adjustment, orientation, or blind related services.
