Event description

Speak Up & Stand Out: The Power of Advocacy
Ready to take charge of your college and career journey? This high-energy, hands-on workshop will show you how to own your voice and advocate for what you need.
3T Academy will be hosted with Columbia Basin College, in Pasco Washington, on June 16 - 18, 2025.
This weekend workshop is designed to introduce students with disabilities to the techniques and services that improve their transition from school to post-secondary education, trade school, or a new job.
What’s in store?
Join the Disability Support Services staff and college faculty as you walk through real-world scenarios – from requesting accommodations to problem-solving in the classroom. You’ll build communication skills and leave with tools that boost your confidence and independence for navigating college and careers.
And of course, it wouldn’t be 3T Academy without a fun field trip and time to connect with new friends!
- Social fun: It’s not all work! Expect plenty of time to hang out, relax, and enjoy some community-based activities and games.
- Counseling on post-secondary education: Explore your options, learn about different paths after high school – whether it's heading to college, enrolling in a trade program, or jumping into work. Discover what’s right for YOU!
- Self-Advocacy: Develop a Learning Mindset to gain the confidence and skills to keep growing, no matter what challenges come your way.
This workshop is all about YOU and your future. You’ll leave with fresh ideas, useful skills, and new friends. Plus, you'll have a blast along the way!
